Just going to do another order through my favourite Hong Kong Retailer, Deal Extreme. Check out my previous review of Deal Extreme here.
I'm going to order:
2.5mm to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapters for Cell Phones
For some no-good reason, cell phone/mobile phone makers have tried their hardest to avoid getting into the mp3 player market by putting in jacks that are not for usual headphones. I know that they're really for wired headsets, but with these days of Bluetooth , no one really uses those. I really don't know why they did this.
It seems to get good reviews, has strain relievers, and seriously, if it works, it works. They're audio cables. Don't believe the Monster Cable hype, all you need are the wires connected to the right places. My friend has a Blackberry Pearl, and I cringe whenever I see him use the included headphones, so he's getting a set of these, so he can use his regular much better headphones. They're only $1.40, you can't go wrong, I'm sure it'd be 10x the price in stores.
Cassette Tape Adapter - $5.16
Just need a couple of these for the car to hook up the MP3 Players. DX has a couple other models, but their reviews are not as good as this one. I actually think that their price for this is high compared to what it costs to make, but oh well.
Super Strong Magnets - $1.63
Why not? They look fun. Pulling the rare-earth magnets out of old hard drives is way too difficult, this is much easier.
Time for Delivery
I sent my order in on January 5th, a Saturday. I'll update this when I get my order (shipped to Canada). Usually my stuff goes right through customs, and especially since this order is under the duty-free limit of CAD$20, this one should be no problem.
I'd imagine that the delivery times to Canada would be similar to the delivery times to the USA.
Package Received
The Package was received by regular airmail on January 18th, so the entire process took about 10 business days to get to me. Not too bad for half-way around the world. Â
